Robson Valley Community Services (RVCS), is committed to the privacy and security of personal information. It is our policy to protect and respect the privacy of personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. This Website Privacy Policy explains our privacy and security practices with respect to all personal information in the possession and control of RVCS through our website (https://robsonvalleycommunityservices.org/) and our social networking services (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram). YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your personal information, such as your name, phone number, email, address and personal comments, is not automatically gathered by RVCS. We only collect personal information about an individual with the individual’s knowledge and consent. This information is only obtained if you explicitly consent to provide it or when submitting a request for services form. We do not rent, sell or trade client lists or other personal information.
Purposes for collecting personal information
We may use the personal information collected for the following reasons:
- To set up and manage your subscription to newsletters and other electronic updates;
- To send publication notifications or other electronic updates as requested by you; and
- To respond to specific requests for information or questions you have raised with us.
We do not collect personal information on our website for any other purposes, unless we have the consent of the individual to whom it relates.
Processing and retention of personal information
Personal information collected by the RVCS website via our Request for Service form is stored in the user’s browser until the final form is submitted. Once submitted, the data is erased from the browser, and is received to our secure Microsoft Business Software email account and the RVCS WordPress database. Access to personal information collected by RVCS is restricted to those who need to access the information (on a confidential basis), or to legally authorized governmental or law enforcement agencies.
Consent- is there a choice?
Individuals provide their consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by RVCS when they provide their information to us or use our programs or services. Individuals can deny or withdraw their consent to collection, use and disclosure of their personal information at any time upon reasonable notice, subject to any legal or other requirements. You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
